# Provider ratings

Every provider CashPilot can run or track gets a letter grade. The grade comes from the same ten questions, asked of every provider the same way, and each answer rests on a source you can open: the provider's own terms or help pages, its replies to users, a repeated pattern in user reports, or what happened when we ran it and cashed out.

Nobody types a grade. Each provider's entry in the catalog records a verdict per question (good, fair, poor or unknown) with the cons and pros behind it, and the code turns those verdicts into the letter. The entry has no field for a grade or an override, and a catalog entry that tries is shown as not rated and fails our checks. The web app and CashPilot-Desktop both show the grade, computed from the same published method.

## How to read a grade

A grade is our reading of the evidence, so it is a bit subjective: someone weighing the same sources could reasonably give a different grade. Treat it as a guide and read the cons.

- **A**: the top tier, 90% of the score or more.
- **B**: the provider does most things well and the evidence says so. Still read the cons.
- **C**: real drawbacks, or too little evidence to say more.
- **D**: serious drawbacks, or most of the criteria could not be checked.
- **F**: the evidence we have is poor, or almost nothing could be checked. The "Unchecked" column tells the two apart: a low grade with many unchecked criteria means "we could not verify this provider", not "we found it bad".

**Unknown is not a pass.** When we could not find evidence either way, the verdict is unknown and it scores the same as poor. With four or more unknowns a provider can score at most 12 of 20 (60%), so its score alone keeps it at C or below. The thin-evidence ceiling at C says the same thing as a rule, so it still holds if the points ever change. New and token-based projects often land at D or F this way: that says how little can be verified about them, which is itself worth knowing before you hand one your connection.

## Which complaints count

Review sites collect plenty of single angry posts. One post is not evidence. A con from user reports needs a pattern: at least three reviewers or posters describing the same specific problem, or two backed by an independent second source. Fewer than that, and the verdict stays unknown with a note saying what we found. A provider's own reply that confirms the rule behind a ban counts as the provider's word. Every con and pro shows the date we checked it, because review pages change.

## Disputing a grade

If a con is wrong or out of date, open an issue at https://github.com/GeiserX/CashPilot/issues with a source that shows it. A grade changes only when a verdict changes, and a verdict changes only on evidence. That applies to providers too.

## The criteria

| Criterion | The question | Good | Fair | Poor |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Payout record | Do payouts arrive, and on time? | Payouts arrive, shown by our own payout or by many matching user reports, and reports of late or missing ones are rare. | Payouts arrive, but there is a repeated pattern of delays or of payouts held for review. | Repeated, specific reports of payouts that never arrived, or the provider stopped paying. |
| Payout terms | How high is the minimum, which methods are there, what are the fees, and does a balance expire? | A low minimum, a common method such as PayPal or bank transfer, small fees and no expiry. | One of these is a real obstacle, such as a high minimum, crypto only, a large fee or an expiring balance. | Several of them at once, or terms that let the provider keep a balance you earned. |
| Account safety | Do accounts get banned, and is the balance confiscated, especially at cash-out? | Bans are rare and follow a stated rule; a banned account keeps or is paid its balance. | The terms let the provider keep the balance of a banned account, but there is no repeated pattern of it. | A repeated pattern of accounts banned at or near cash-out with the balance kept. |
| Fit with how CashPilot runs it | Do the terms allow running it the way CashPilot does, in a container on a home server? | Containers or servers are allowed, or the official client is a container image. | The terms are silent on containers, or allow them with conditions such as one device per IP, or CashPilot does not run the provider at all (it is an app, extension or device you set up yourself), so the question does not apply. | The terms forbid containers, virtual machines or servers. |
| Traffic transparency | Does the provider say who buys the traffic or the work, and how buyers are vetted? | It names the kind of buyers, states what they may not do, and describes how it checks them. | It names the use in general terms, without saying how buyers are checked. | It does not say who uses your connection or machine. |
| Privacy | What leaves your machine, and can anyone check what the client does? | The client is open source, or the provider publishes exactly what it collects and it is little. | A privacy policy covers it, but the client is closed and the data collected is broad. | The data collected is excessive, or the provider has had a data incident it handled badly. |
| Identity checks | What do you hand over to get paid, such as a phone number, an ID document or tax details? | An email address and a payout address are enough. | A phone number, a payment processor's own checks, or a tax form for larger amounts. | A government ID or selfie is required before any payout. |
| Support | Are support tickets answered? | Tickets are answered, including ours, and reports of being ignored are rare. | Answers come, but slowly, or only through a community channel. | A repeated pattern of tickets left unanswered, often while a payout is held. |
| Earnings realism | How do advertised earnings compare with what one home IP actually makes? | The provider's claims match what we and other users measure. | Claims are optimistic, or earnings depend heavily on location and are small for most. | Advertised earnings are far above what users report, or rewards are in a token with no settled value. |
| Longevity | Is there a named company, how long has it run, and has it shut down or rebranded before? | A named legal entity, several years of operation and no history of shutdowns or rebrands. | A named entity but under three years running, or a past rebrand or relaunch. | No named entity, or a history of shutdowns, or a token or program that was wound down. |

Each verdict scores points: good 2, fair 1, poor 0, unknown 0. Unknown scores the same as poor, so a provider we could not check is graded as cautiously as one with bad evidence.

| Grade | Share of the maximum score |
| --- | --- |
| A | 90% or more |
| B | 75% or more |
| C | 55% or more |
| D | 35% or more |
| F | 0% or more |

Ceilings, applied whatever the score:

- **Capped at D.** The provider forbids running its software in a container, which is how CashPilot runs it.
- **Capped at C.** A poor payout record or poor account safety caps the grade at C.
- **Capped at C.** Four or more criteria could not be checked, so the grade is capped at C for thin evidence.

What a cited con or pro may rest on:

- `terms`: The provider's own terms, help centre or documentation.
- `provider_reply`: The provider's own reply to a user, for example on a review site.
- `our_experience`: What happened when we ran it or cashed out, written up in this repo.
- `user_reports`: A pattern in user reports, never a single complaint. At least three reviewers or posters describing the same specific problem, or two backed by an independent second source. An aggregate summary written by the review site counts as one source.
- `press`: A news article, a court record or a public filing.

## All providers

| Provider | Grade | Score | Unchecked | Reviewed | Worst con |
| --- | :---: | :---: | :---: | --- | --- |
| [Sia (hostd)](<#sia-hostd>) | C | 12 of 20 | 2 | 2026-11-04 | Earnings are Siacoin in your own wallet: there is no payout to a bank, so you sell on an exchange yourself. |
| [MystNodes](<#mysterium>) | D | 10 of 20 | 4 | 2026-11-04 | About 21% of every settlement goes in fees, the 20% Hermes fee plus a transaction fee, and earnings are paid in the MYST token. |
| [PacketStream](<#packetstream>) | D | 10 of 20 | 2 | 2026-11-04 | Trustpilot reviewers in 2025 and 2026 report payouts arriving late or not at all, and one long-time user says payouts slowed and then stopped; others in 2026 report being paid. |
| [ProxyBase](<#proxybase>) | D | 9 of 20 | 4 | 2026-11-04 | ProxyBase itself wrote in August 2025 that it is new and not yet the place to maximise earnings. |
| [Storj](<#storj>) | D | 9 of 20 | 3 | 2026-11-04 | CoinDesk reported on 27 July 2026 that Storj Labs had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. |
| [Honeygain](<#honeygain>) | D | 8 of 20 | 3 | 2026-11-04 | The terms let Honeygain write off earnings that reached the $20 threshold and were not paid out within 24 months, and treat earnings as expired after six months without use. |
| [EarnApp](<#earnapp>) | D | 7 of 20 | 5 | 2026-11-04 | EarnApp's help centre says installing it in Docker containers, virtual machines, hosting services or home servers is strictly prohibited, which is how CashPilot runs it. |
| [Golem Network](<#golem>) | D | 7 of 20 | 6 | 2026-11-04 | CashPilot does not run Golem: you install the provider agent yourself, so CashPilot cannot deploy or update it for you. Golem documents running the provider in its own Docker image. |
| [URnetwork](<#urnetwork>) | D | 7 of 20 | 4 | 2026-11-04 | Unclaimed epochs expire, and the old USDC payouts were cancelled for networks with no wallet linked within 30 days. |
| [Anyone Protocol](<#anyone-protocol>) | F | 6 of 20 | 5 | 2026-11-04 | A relay earns nothing unless 100 ANYONE is locked for it for at least 180 days, and each reward claim is signed in your wallet. |
| [Bytelixir](<#bytelixir>) | F | 6 of 20 | 6 | 2026-11-04 | Crypto only, and the minimum depends on the coin, from $5 for USDT to $250 for Bitcoin. |
| [Noderr Micronodes](<#noderr>) | F | 6 of 20 | 4 | 2026-11-04 | Node rewards are unfunded testnet tokens with no market value, and none have been paid; the 5 to 10% APY on its site is a design target. |
| [ProxyBase Markets](<#proxybase-xyz>) | F | 6 of 20 | 6 | 2026-11-04 | Payouts are USDC on Tempo Chain, to any EVM address whose key you hold. |
| [Repocket](<#repocket>) | F | 6 of 20 | 2 | 2026-11-04 | Several Trustpilot reviewers report cancelled payouts and balances reset to zero; one says support cited irregular bandwidth earnings. The page rates Repocket 2.7 and notes it has not replied to negative reviews. |
| [Bitping](<#bitping>) | F | 5 of 20 | 7 | 2026-11-04 | Withdrawals are paid in Solana (SOL), to an address you type into each request. |
| [Earn.fm](<#earnfm>) | F | 5 of 20 | 6 | 2026-11-04 | A $15 minimum, a $1 to $3 fee on USDT, and a bank wire only from $1,000. |
| [Ebesucher](<#ebesucher>) | F | 5 of 20 | 7 | 2026-11-04 | CashPilot does not run eBesucher: it is a browser extension, so CashPilot cannot deploy or update it for you. Its terms were not checked for containers. |
| [Flux](<#flux>) | F | 5 of 20 | 6 | 2026-11-04 | The smallest node tier needs 1,000 FLUX locked as collateral. |
| [IPRoyal Pawns](<#iproyal>) | F | 5 of 20 | 4 | 2026-11-04 | The terms say an account can be blocked without prior notice for abuse of withdrawal conditions or multiple accounts, and its earnings may then not be paid out. |
| [Sentinel dVPN](<#sentinel-dvpn>) | F | 5 of 20 | 6 | 2026-11-04 | Payments are in the P2P token, and 20% of every bandwidth payment goes to stakers rather than the node host. |
| [Traffmonetizer](<#traffmonetizer>) | F | 5 of 20 | 4 | 2026-11-04 | Trustpilot rates it 1.9; reviewers from 2023 to November 2026 report payouts pending for weeks, or marked completed with no matching transaction. |
| [Helium](<#helium>) | F | 4 of 20 | 6 | 2026-11-04 | HIP 149 retired Proof-of-Coverage rewards on 6 July 2026; IoT hotspots now earn only for data they carry, and more than 114,000 of them carried none. |
| [ProxyLite](<#proxylite>) | F | 4 of 20 | 7 | 2026-11-04 | The site's owner is hidden in its domain records, and we found no named company behind it. |
| [Vast.ai](<#vast-ai>) | F | 4 of 20 | 7 | 2026-11-04 | A host earns only while rented, and Vast's own figures for a consumer GPU depend on rental type and reliability score. |
| [Bytebenefit](<#bytebenefit>) | F | 3 of 20 | 7 | 2026-11-04 | The app's Google Play listing says your traffic serves web-intelligence requests by Infatica's clients, without saying who they are or how they are checked. |
| [Grass](<#grass>) | F | 3 of 20 | 6 | 2026-11-04 | Rewards come only through airdrop seasons. Long-running node operators reported season 2 estimates in the single to low double-digit dollar range. |
| [io.net](<#ionet>) | F | 3 of 20 | 6 | 2026-11-04 | Supplier rewards were paid from token emissions regardless of paid jobs, and GPU owners report sitting idle most of the time. |
| [Nosana](<#nosana>) | F | 3 of 20 | 7 | 2026-11-04 | Each host must lock a NOS stake sized to its GPU's hourly price. |
| [PassiveApp](<#passiveapp>) | F | 3 of 20 | 8 | 2026-11-04 | CashPilot does not run PassiveApp: you use the provider's own desktop app, so CashPilot cannot deploy or update it for you. Its terms were not checked for containers. |
| [ProxyRack](<#proxyrack>) | F | 3 of 20 | 8 | 2026-11-04 | ProxyRack's help centre says removing a device takes that device's earnings off your account, and they come back only if the same device is added again. |
| [Salad](<#salad>) | F | 3 of 20 | 8 | 2026-11-04 | CashPilot does not run Salad: you use the provider's own desktop app, so CashPilot cannot deploy or update it for you. Its terms were not checked for containers. |

| [Teneo Protocol](<#teneo>) | F | 1 of 20 | 7 | 2026-11-04 | Teneo says points will be consolidated into $AGENTIC, a non-transferable reward token, not the $TENEO token. |
| [Theta Edge Node](<#theta-edge>) | F | 1 of 20 | 9 | 2026-11-04 | CashPilot does not run Theta Edge: you use the provider's own desktop app, so CashPilot cannot deploy or update it for you. Its terms were not checked for containers. |
| [Titan Network](<#titan>) | F | 1 of 20 | 8 | 2026-11-04 | Titan's own help says a running node does not guarantee earnings: with no task assigned it earns nothing, and rewards are in the TNT token. |

| Criterion | Verdict | Note |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Payout record | Unknown | Trustpilot withholds Honeygain's rating for a breach of its guidelines and says it removed fake reviews, so its review pages cannot show a payout record either way. We have not yet published a completed Honeygain payout of our own. |
| Payout terms | Poor | Unpaid earnings can be written off after 24 months |
| Account safety | Fair | Can suspend accounts and withhold or write off earnings |
| Fit with how CashPilot runs it | Good | Own Docker image, honeygain/honeygain |
| Traffic transparency | Fair | Traffic serves business clients, none named |
| Privacy | Unknown | The client is closed source. We did not find a published list of what the client collects beyond the privacy policy's general terms. |
| Identity checks | Fair | Tipalti needs SMS, name, address and date of birth before PayPal |
| Support | Unknown | Two recent Trustpilot reviews say support did not answer; two is not a pattern, and we have no ticket of our own. |
| Earnings realism | Fair | Earnings depend on demand and location, slow to reach $20 |
| Longevity | Good | Run by Honeygain UAB (Lithuania), founded 2019 |

**Cons**

- The terms let Honeygain write off earnings that reached the $20 threshold and were not paid out within 24 months, and treat earnings as expired after six months without use. [Source](<https://www.honeygain.com/terms-of-use/>), checked 2026-11-04.

- Honeygain's own replies to low-earnings reviews say earnings depend on network demand and location; reviewers report taking a very long time to reach the $20 minimum. [Source](<https://www.trustpilot.com/review/honeygain.com>), checked 2026-11-04.

| Payout terms | Good | $10 minimum for PayPal and Wise, with auto-redeem |
| Account safety | Fair | We found no repeated pattern of accounts banned at cash-out with the balance kept. Trustpilot withholds EarnApp's rating for a breach of its guidelines and says it removed fake reviews, so we did not count its reviews either way. |
| Fit with how CashPilot runs it | Poor | Help centre strictly prohibits Docker, VMs and home servers |
| Traffic transparency | Unknown | EarnApp is run by Bright Data; we did not find an EarnApp page that says how the buyers of the traffic are vetted. |
| Privacy | Unknown | The client is closed source; we did not review the privacy policy in depth. |
| Identity checks | Unknown | We found no EarnApp page that lists what a payout asks for, and our own notes do not record it. |

| Earnings realism | Unknown | We have not measured EarnApp's earnings per IP against any figure the provider publishes. |
| Longevity | Good | Owned by Bright Data, payments from Bright Data Ltd. |

**Cons**

- CashPilot does not run PassiveApp: you use the provider's own desktop app, so CashPilot cannot deploy or update it for you. Its terms were not checked for containers. [Source](<https://github.com/GeiserX/CashPilot/blob/main/services/depin/passiveapp.yml>), checked 2026-11-04.

**Pros**

- PassiveApp's site lists PayPal, crypto and gift cards from a $3 minimum. [Source](<https://www.passiveapp.com/>), checked 2026-11-04.

### ProxyRack

**Grade F**, 3 of 20 points, 8 of 10 criteria unchecked, reviewed 2026-11-04. Setup guide: [ProxyRack](<https://geiserx.github.io/CashPilot/guides/proxyrack/index.md>).

| Criterion | Verdict | Note |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Payout record | Unknown | ProxyRack's Trustpilot reviews are mostly from proxy buyers; one peer reports payouts within three days and warns against deleting devices while a payout is pending. Not enough to judge. |
| Payout terms | Unknown | Third-party reviews disagree on the minimum ($5 or $20) and the help page did not load for us. |
| Account safety | Fair | Removing a device takes its earnings off your account |
| Fit with how CashPilot runs it | Good | Own Docker image, proxyrack/pop, datacentre IPs accepted |
| Traffic transparency | Unknown | We could not load the peer program's terms. |
| Privacy | Unknown | The client is closed source; we could not load the privacy terms. |
| Identity checks | Unknown | Not documented on pages we could load. |
| Support | Unknown | No peer-program pattern found. |
| Earnings realism | Unknown | Not measured. |
| Longevity | Unknown | We could not confirm the legal entity on a page that loaded. |

**Cons**

- ProxyRack's help centre says removing a device takes that device's earnings off your account, and they come back only if the same device is added again. [Source](<https://help.proxyrack.com/en/articles/6532814-my-earnings-were-removed>), checked 2026-11-04.

**Pros**

- ProxyRack publishes its own Docker image, proxyrack/pop, and accepts datacentre IPs at a lower rate. [Source](<https://hub.docker.com/r/proxyrack/pop>), checked 2026-11-04.

| Account safety | Unknown | No pattern found. |
| Fit with how CashPilot runs it | Fair | Own desktop app, CashPilot cannot deploy or update it |
| Traffic transparency | Unknown | Salad rents your GPU to its cloud customers; we did not find how they are checked. |
| Privacy | Unknown | Not reviewed. |
| Identity checks | Unknown | Not documented on pages we read. |
| Support | Unknown | No pattern found. |

| Longevity | Unknown | Not checked on a primary source. |

**Cons**

- CashPilot does not run Salad: you use the provider's own desktop app, so CashPilot cannot deploy or update it for you. Its terms were not checked for containers. [Source](<https://github.com/GeiserX/CashPilot/blob/main/services/compute/salad.yml>), checked 2026-11-04.
